VR Ice Climbing is COOL! (Unity 5 Tutorial)

Trying a different approach this week. Instead of building from scratch, we are going to talk about how we built an Ice Climbing prototype and take a suggestion from the audience on what to build on top of this. This prototype was built off of our climbing prototype (with some slight modification). We used the SteamVR Interaction System and and we will highlight the challenges and trade-offs in the design.

How To: Unity Fallout VR VATS Live Tutorial

With E3 right around the corner and the release of Fallout VR coming soon, we figured we might as well do a tutorial on creating the targeting system VATS. We will cover how to slow down time, highlight body parts, shoot bullets and put our own spin on VATS. We ditch the percentage system in favor of an aim and shoot approach but if you really want percentages, join the stream and chime in – we’ll build the system on the fly!
