This has a really neat concept and some things that could be improved on. For example the screen output of the render texture (to the main monitor) is reversed and seems to be fighting with rendering both render textures (right and left eye).
It would be cool to better understand how Lars (creator of the package) is getting the 4×4 matrix, creating render textures for each eye that is rendered to the ‘mirror’, and how he is rigging the model that is the reflection. There is some nice easy to do things in here and some advanced stuff. I think it would make for a great lesson (plus we can fork the project with any improvements made!).
Please let me know if you would like to do something with this package. It is a really nice effect that can be used in many VR applications.
It could be used for normal mirrors, portals to other worlds, placing items/clues in the mirror that can only be seen through the mirror, etc, etc.
